Info

The Secret Garden is one of my favorite books, and while I’ve read some of FHB’s other kids books (The Little Princess, Little Lord Fauntleroy) I never knew she wrote so many other books– and most of them for adults!
This is a bibliography of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s major works, including novels, novellas (or “novelettes”), and short story collections.
I didn’t include stand-alone/non-collected short stories, poems, or plays. Essays that were published as books are included, but ones that weren’t collected are not listed. (Hope all that makes sense!)
Links go to online versions of those works, where available. Many of her works are scanned and available as PDFs, but haven’t been converted to HTML/EPUB format yet, so just keep that in mind.
A note: many of FHB’s books were republished under different titles, depending on the location, the publisher, or the author’s preference. I’ve (mostly) listed everything under the original publication name, and tried to note alternate titles when very different.
