These scans come from the first edition of L. Frank Baum’s Ozma of Oz, the third book in the original Wizard of Oz series (and one of my favorites!) originally published in 1907. This version was published by Reilly & Britton Co., and the art was done by John R. Neill, who later wrote some Oz books himself in the 1940s.
This post is a collection of full-color illustrations (41 images), the covers (2 images), end papers (2 images) and the table of contents (2 images). In another post will be the chapter headings (21 images), and a third post will be the black and white line drawings (46 images)– this book is HEAVILY illustrated, so I had to break it up into multiple posts!
To make this post, I downloaded the original JP2 scans from the Internet Archive, converted them to JPG and then lightly edited them (cropping/straightening) and then resized them to be internet-friendly. This particular edition of the book, including its illustrations, are in the public domain now! So you can use them to make your own art, make little prints, and so on.
